Since Manny was a Dodger, I had to attend a game to see him in real life. I couldn’t find any decent tickets for his first Dodger game, but I was hooked up with tickets from a fellow Dodger fan I met at signings. He has season tickets in reserve and he always has extra tix so I got some from him. My father and sis went as well. I knew the seats we were going to sit was a great spot to get noticed on Dodgervision so I made a custom Manny Ramirez jersey which was taped on a Dodger jersey. I got their around 5:30 and saw that Tommy Davis were signing autographs so I decided to get a ball signed. He was a very nice guy and offered to put inscriptions on the ball as well (most players dont put any inscriptions). I met my friend, Nick around 6 and headed for the seats. All in all, the game was awesome and the atmosphere was electrifying. Also, Manny hit his first HR as a Dodger and I was on the Dodgervision 3 or 4 times waving my Manny Jersey. We won 4-2! Here are some pictures. My sister’s camera battery died so I’ll post more pictures as soon as my friend, who took some more pics, emails them to me:

Hey everyone! So, this is my first post and I am still getting use to this site. But, I guess it’s like that with every other blogs, homepage sites. First time it can get little confusing to use but after awhile you get use to it. (ex. myspace, facebook, xanga, etc) I read my friends blog, Roberto, occasionally and I thought maybe I should start a MLB blog as well. I will try to post every day but with school coming up, I might not be able to. But, we’ll see how it works out.
On Saturday July 26th, I attended the Chad Billingsley signing at AT&T store in Los Angeles. It was scheduled from 12-1 PM. I had a feeling many fans would show up and since I live in Lakewood, I had to leave earlier due to the notorious LA traffic. I got there around 11:30 because I was stuck in traffic. Anyways, when I turned the corner I noticed there were many fans already waiting in line. I saw some of the usual fans I see at signings and saw my friend Roberto there as well. Chad came on time (usually players arrive late), and signed for the fans pretty quickly; with some taking pictures with him. Whenever I get autographs, I try to take pictures with them as well, so here are the pics:
(thanks to Richard for taking this pic)
As you fans already know, Mark Teixeira was traded to LA Angels for 1B Casey Kotchman and a Pitching prospect Stephen Marek. In my opinion, Angels got the better end of the deal because they get a power bat they desperately needed to help Vlad Guererro and only gave up a 1B and a pitching prospect which writers say he’s not a top tier prospect. Now the only thing we have to wait for is if Teix will sign an extension with the Angels. And everyone knows that his agent, Scott Boras, will certainly test the free agent market. I guess we wont know until the offseason but one thing is for sure, the Angels just got way better after picking up Teix.
If you haven’t noticed, Manny is not happy in Beantown and is welcome to a trade. And the one team that’s showing the most interest and needs a power bat is….Dodgers. The centerpiece in this trade is obviously Kemp. Now, I’m not a big fan of Kemp and his K’s and under par defense, but giving up Kemp for a 2 month rental is not what I have in mind. Manny is a power bat but his defense is worse than Kemp (ex. rolling around to get the ball), adding a huge salary, and a distraction. Lets wait until this offseason and sign a better player in Vlad Guererro (if the Angels dont pick up his option) and dump Druw Jones.
